In sei que estou só, for choir (24 voices), I used the poem of the same name by Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. Here, I tried to reflect on loneliness in the chaotic contemporary world. The simplicity of the text, its coldness and the loneliness it conveys have been worked on to faithfully demonstrate the detachment of today’s society.
Throughout the piece, I explored different treatments of the text and vocal groups, representing the various ways in which both the lonely person and those around them react.

Em sei que estou só, para coro a 24 vozes, usei o poema homónimo de Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. Aqui, procurei refletir sobre a solidão no caótico mundo contemporâneo. A simplicidade do texto, a frieza e a solidão que transmite foram trabalhadas para demonstrar fielmente o desapego da sociedade atual.
Ao longo da peça, explorei diferentes tratamentos do texto e grupos vocais, representando as diversas formas de reação tanto da pessoa solitária quanto daqueles que a rodeiam.
